WATER PASSAGE UNIT FOR BASIN Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: sanitary engineering. SUBSTANCE: water passage unit has casing with axial opening and seat, rod with valve and tip, and water channels. Seat is positioned on casing upper part and has acute edge adapted for contacting with valve. Valve is made in the form of flexible washer fixed between rigid flat members, with lower rigid member being positioned for restricted displacement of washer at excessive water pressure in casing cavity under seat. Water channels in casing slot are inclined with respect to its axis and their inlet ends are positioned in mentioned cavity under seat. Rigid flat members and tip are joined to rod through threaded connection. Casing axial opening is provided with thread for connecting to rod tip having threaded projection and sealing ring. Basin equipped with such water passage unit may be used for washing hands and face in case of absence of standard water system. Such unit may be set up in vessels of various types, such as plastic beverage bottle, pail, tank, aluminum pot etc, used as basin.
