FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: one determines basicity of high-calcium ashes (from heat-and-power stations) from quantity of acid neutralized by the latter utilizing titration technique. Then, one finds relationship between basicity of ashes and amount of correcting additive, in particular silica-containing one, corresponding to maximum strength of binding agent used for manufacturing autoclave cellular concrete. Amount of correcting additive for newly coming lots of ashes is determined using previously established relationship. EFFECT: simplified determination procedure. 2 tbl
