FIELD: broad-band, short-step, contactless on-load voltage regulation. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device use only one doublewinding power transformer for group of loads whose input power or current is to be maintained constant during voltage regulation. Characteristic of proposed method incorporates new conditions for selecting mean values of voltage regulation ranges across terminals of separate groups of loads and new ways of varying voltage regulation ranges proper between their maximum and minimum values by changing over secondary windings of transformer- thyristor modules. Device implementing this method provides for simultaneous voltage regulation across terminals of load groups obeying individual laws for each load of group due to appropriately changing over transformer secondary windings of transformer-thyristor modules and responding to control signals generated by functional units carrying information about load phase angle, voltage, and active power. EFFECT: reduced consumption of winding and core materials; reduced power loss in power circuit components. 2 cl, 9 dwg
