FIELD: mobile communication system. SUBSTANCE: method related to invention provides for cyclic control over power. Mobile station presents information on quality of signal received from base station and in response base station adjusts power allocated to this user in signal of base station utilized jointly. Power of transmission first is adjusted with great increment and then it diminishes with growing rate of decrease. Mobile station also presents information to base station on its relative rate and base station adjusts its power of transmission in correspondence with information on rate. EFFECT: provision for timely control over power which is needed to maintain high quality of communication in communication line under conditions of fading. 4 dwg
