FIELD: communication systems; zero-speed frame (frame free from data transferred) detection during data transfers.
SUBSTANCE: modulated signal is received and demodulated in compliance with definite demodulation format in order to shape demodulated signals which are divided into certain number of received frames; metric of quality is calculated and compared with threshold value; the latter is partially chosen basing on metrics of quality of frames received; received frame is identified according to comparison results either as erroneously transmitted and received frame (so-called erased or ill frame) or as frame free from data transferred (zero-speed frame); metric of quality may be associated with energy of received frame and with distance between received frame and code word corresponding to received frame; threshold value is chosen basing on metrics of quality calculated for decoded frames or received ones found as good, or is set dynamically basing on current information available in receiver.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of zero-speed frame identification.
