FIELD: improved method and device for controlling functioning of potentially gated channel in radio communication system.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, mobile station (4) supports counter of serial bad frames (224)m and counter of serial good frames (226). At the beginning of a call counter of serial bad frames and counter of serial good frames are set to zero. For each received frame, mobile station determines, whether the frame is good, bad or empty. If the frame is good, then counter of bad frames is set to zero, and counter of good frames is increased by 1. If received frame is bad, then counter of bad frames is increased by 1, and counter of good frames is set to zero. If received frame is empty, counter of bad frames and counter of good frames remain unchanged. Then counter of bad frames reaches threshold value, mobile station blocks its transmitter. If counter of good frames reaches threshold value, mobile station reactivates its transmitter.

EFFECT: increased efficiency.
