FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel gel-preparation that can be used as an artificial lacrimal liquid for treatment of "dry eye". Viscosity of drop gel preparation is from 2000 to 6000 MPa x s and pH value is 6-8. Preparation has an aqueous continuous phase and liquid hydrophobic phase. The latter consists of drops dispersed in an aqueous phase and drops have no emulsifying agents. An aqueous phase has at least one polymeric gel-forming component, for example, as acrylic acid polymers and its preferable concentration is 0.1-3 weight %. Hydrophobic phase has an acceptable organic oil. Preferable, oil has triglyceride with carbon chain of middle length. Preparation is prepared by dispersing hydrophobic phase in an aqueous continuous phase, preferably in preliminary prepared sterile hydrogel. New preparation prevents mechanical irritation of eye and exhibits sterility, it has prolonged storage even in the case of additional presence of non-stable substance, for example, vitamin A and its derivatives.
