FIELD: technology of composite wood and cellulose materials. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing fireproofing compound for wood slab and cellulose materials by condensation in melt of phosphoric acid and carbamide followed by cooling to temperatures of 60-70 C and dissolution in water to working concentration. In this case ammonium dihydrophosphate is sued in amount of 36.3-33.7 wt %, phosphoric acid in amount of 20.6-48.4 wt %, carbamide in amount of 15.3-39.7 wt %, and nickel catalyst is added in amount of 0.2-0.5 of total amount of dry matter, and the whole is heated under stirring to 120-125 C, kept for 15-25 minutes, cooled and diluted to concentration of 30-60 %.
