FIELD: shipbuilding; designing high-speed ships with air cavity in bottom. SUBSTANCE: ship has hull with side bilges. Bottom of hull has gliding lines, buttocks and waterlines and recess formed by side skegs. Skegs are provided with water-separating edge; bottom is provided with arch and aft shaped platform. Top of bottom recess is located on fore portion of bottom. With of bottom over bilge in plane of frame running through top of recess is lesser than width of bottom over bilge in midstation plane. Water-separating edge of each skeg is located in line of each ni approximated section selected within 10≅ni≅106 which forms angle αi with ship's CL within 0 ≅ αi≅ 90°. Buttocks of gliding lines of bottom are straight before each elementary section of water-separating edge over length of at least 0.05 length of recess. Elementary sections of water-separating edge may be smoothly engageable. Angle αi may smoothly decrease from top of bottom recess towards stern. Part of ni elementary sections located one after another may have constant angle αi. EFFECT: possibility of optimal forming of air cavity at high seaworthiness of ship. 4 cl, 4 dwg
