FIELD: mechanical engineering; applicable in mining, construction and metallurgical industries in capacity of band toll for breakage of rocks, concrete, furnace lining, and for metal cutting. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic impact device has barrel, hammer, guide tube installed on barrel longitudinal axis, cover and tool holder. Hammer is installed for reciprocation along external surface of guide tube and internal surface of barrel and with possibility of separation of barrel cavity into chambers of working and idle strokes. Working tool is elastically connected with tool holder. Inlet channel of working stroke chamber is made in cover, and inlet channel of idle stroke chamber, in cavity of guide tube. One end of guide tube is brought out of working stroke chamber beyond cover and valve of air- distributing mechanism is installed on said guide tube end. The other end of guide tube is located in idle stroke chamber. Bent tube is introduced whose one end is connected to guide tube and the other end, to tool holder which is provided with additional channel. One end of bent tube cavity is communicated with cavity of guide tube, and its other end, with idle stroke chamber through additional channel.
