FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are aimed at electrical energy transmission dispensing with metal conductors and using for the purpose transport pipelines carrying liquid or gaseous materials to serve as conducting channels. At least one conducting channel with material in liquid or gaseous phase is formed between electrical energy source and receiver in insulating shell. Electromagnetic oscillations of reactive capacitive charge current are generated in each conducting channel and electric field is built up at frequency of 0.3-300 kHz; voltage antinodes exceeding source voltage by 2-50 times are set up in channel, reactive current and channel electric field energy are converted into active current and active electrical energy, as well as into mechanical energy and heat, if necessary. EFFECT: reduced cost of power transmission due to dispensing with power transmission lines; provision for conveying power to electrified transport. 25 cl, 9 dwg
