STRAIN OF FUNGUS BEAUVERIA BASSIANA (BALS) VUILL BKM F-3732D USED FOR ENTOPATHOGENIC PREPARATION PREPARING Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: biotechnology, microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel strain used for preparing entomopathogenic preparations. The strain Beauveria bassiana (Bals) Vuill is obtained by site-directed mutagenesis of natural microorganisms and deposited in the Collection of microorganisms of Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology RAS at N BKM F-3732D. Strain shows the enhanced output as compared with the known strain under condition of submerged fermentation that is estimated to be 1.2-2.0 x 10⁹ spores/ml. On culturing on the solid nutrient medium its output is 2.2-5.1 x 10⁹ spores/g. Biological activity of cultural fluid of the strain added with forage and assayed by locust larvae death is 72-92%. After its addition to soil the death of clump of locust eggs is 69-92%. EFFECT: strain indicated above, enhanced effectiveness of strain. 1 tbl, 2 ex
