FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: block is used for wall in which great number of similar blocks are assembled without building mortar into serially overlapping rows so that mentioned blocks border front surface of wall. Block has ridge, slot, two lower butt-ends spaced apart by means of top, bottom, front and rear edges. Novelty is that mentioned top edge has ridge to provide coupling and inclined part of edge to join ridge to front edge so as to ensure their coupling; mentioned bottom edge has slot to provide coupling and front part of edge which joins slot to front edge to ensure their coupling; these two butt-ends, top edge, bottom edge, front edge, and rear edge are specifically shaped so that when part of wall is formed by mentioned block and underlying block, bottom edge of block contacts top edge of mentioned underlying block so that front edge of block borders part of front surface of wall; in order to ensure desired coupling ridge of mentioned underlying block is made for fixing mentioned block in slot to provide for coupling of both blocks so as to prevent their forward and backward displacement and for displacing front edge of block in vertical direction downward relative to comb.
