FIELD: procedure of aerodynamic tests. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in observation of free fall of a moving body under the action of the force of gravity with the aid of recording instruments. The body is oriented in space. The method is featured by the fact that the moments of passage of the body by the recording devices are determined. After that the moment of beginning of body movement at a constant speed is determined. This speed makes it possible to judge the air drag coefficient of the moving body. EFFECT: reduced labor content of realization of the described method, enhanced accuracy and truth of determination of the air drag coefficient along with expanded technological capacities of determination of the air drag coefficient of the body moving in various continuous media.
