FIELD: mechanical engineering; cleaning of exhaust gases in compression-ignition internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: porous ceramet catalytic reduction-oxidation units are installed in converter housing, and porous ceramet oxidation unit and reduction unit are installed coaxially relative to oxidation-reduction units. Housing has inlet and outlet branch pipes with flanges, channel for supply of auxiliary gas connected with communicating spaces formed between inner surface of housing and outer surfaces of porous ceramet catalytic units. Filters are placed inside porous ceramet oxidation and reduction units. Filters are arranged axisymmetrically and are made of composite carbon material threads cross-wound on netted frames in multiple layers. This material with-stands temperature up to 970 C and makes it possible to filter out hard particles of size up to 3 μm. EFFECT: improved quality of exhaust gas cleaning. 1 dwg
