COMPLEX LAND RECLAMATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural construction. SUBSTANCE: land reclamation system has irrigation and drainage mains, pumping stations, irrigation fields with circular sprinkling machines and forest protecting plantations. Drainage mains is provided with combined pressure sprayer and collector operating in two modes of operation: drainage water disposal in pressure free mode and supplying drainage water for irrigating forest protecting plantations in pressure mode. To do that, drainage mains is equipped with double-acting valves and water outlets, irrigation fields are made six or eight-sided and circumscribed by circle with radius corresponding to maximal sprinkling machine width. Field corners and strips between fields, which are beyond the reach of sprinkling machines, are occupied with forest protecting plantations. System allows arable soils to be utilized to optimal extent by using untreated disposed drainage water and microclimate in irrigated massif to be improved.
