FIELD: ophthalmology; applicable in surgical removal of magnetic intraocular foreign bodies from cavities and structures of eyeball. SUBSTANCE: instrument has a working part and magnet. The magnet has a head of gripper shape for contact with instrument working part found beyond eye. Instrument working part located inside eye is magnetized and fixes magnetic intraocular foreign body. The latter is removed from eye together with the instrument. The instrument makes it possible to remove magnetic intraocular foreign body which may be lost from field of vision of ophthalmosurgeon at the moment of changing of iron-containing instrument for magnet to cut time for operation and to reduce risk of complications occurrence.
