FIELD: firefighting. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing atomization by providing collision between pairs of fire-extinguishing substance streams under pressure, with stream in each pair of streams being positioned at an angle of collision of 60 plus and minus 5 deg and outer stream of each pair of streams being ejected parallel to fire-extinguishing substance feeding axis; creating multiple-focus spray beams overlapping one another at optimal concentration of fire- extinguishing substance used; creating each fire-extinguishing substance spray beam from a number of streams of fine- dispersed aqueous solution in the form of three-dimensional geometric figure, for example cone continued with cylinder. Streams falling onto burning surface break it into separate burning zones isolated one from another. Focal distance of each spray beam and its shape are created by turning stream pairs forming this spray beam relative to collision point through an angle of 0 to +20 deg. Apparatus has fire-extinguisher with lock and start valve. Fire- extinguisher is connected to collectors which are equipped with sprayers. Sprayers have nozzle units defined by two conjugate surfaces with lower nozzles arranged at an angle of collision of 60 plus and minus 5 deg, pipe union and joint nut. Sprayers have different focus spray beams and are arranged in variable pitch matrix order. EFFECT: increased firefighting efficiency by improved spraying of liquid fire-extinguishing substance and reduced fire extinguishing time. 4 cl, 4 dwg
