FIELD: filter elements for mechanical cleaning of fluid media. SUBSTANCE: filter element has form of narrow hollow box with two larger first side walls running in zigzag or wavy pattern, two narrow second side walls which connect first side walls with each other; closed side of this box forms bottom; opposite side is open; projections and grooves of first side walls pass in way from forming bottom towards open side; filter element has two interconnected halves which include one of first side walls; base made from synthetic resin is cast to side forming the bottom; head section consisting of synthetic resin is cast to first and second side walls; first part of its height embraces first and second walls on the outside and second part of its height projects beyond side walls closing them at the ends. Second part of height of head portion forms passage favorable for flowing from zigzag or wavy space between both first side walls. EFFECT: enhanced strength of filter element. 10 cl, 3 dwg
