FIELD: air purification equipment, in particular, removal of solid particles from air. SUBSTANCE: filtering member has porous casing manufactured from granular ultrahigh molecular polyethylene having, in initial state, at least 95% by weight of grains of size within the range of 63-250 microns, or at least 70% by weight of grains of size within the range of 63-315 microns. Method involves charging grains into mold and heating to temperature sufficient for joining of one grain to the other grain; cooling in mold; withdrawing molded casing from mold and applying suspension-type coat to influent surface; drying coat. Filtering member produced by such method has uniform distribution of pores providing uniform charging of filter.
