PLANT FOR CASTING WITH PRESSURE-INDUCED CRYSTALLIZATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: foundry; applicable in plants for casting of reinforced castings in the form of parts of road machinery with pressure-induced crystallization in evacuated molds. SUBSTANCE: plant has a detachable vacuum line in which shape-forming cavity is made with feeders and ventilation channels and also conical hollow and pointed edge on lower end face. Vacuum line has a reinforcing member fixed in it from both sides and installed for its withdrawal together with casting. Pusher furnished with a plate forms bottom of pressing chamber. Pusher is made in the form of limiter of extreme position of pushed plate. The latter is connected with cross-piece by means of tie-rods installed for their displacement relative to cross-piece through needed value regulated by threaded stop. Lower ends of tie-rods are secured in pusher plate. Reverse motion of pressing piston is used in the plant for pushing out of casting and thus hydraulic cylinder for this operation is unnecessary. EFFECT: reduced power consumption, extended technological potentialities of the plant due to use of reinforcing members in capacity of shape-forming cores. 2 cl, 5 dwg
