FIELD: mechanical engineering; chips briquetting. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has bed frame, hopper for chips, charging chamber, pressing and sintering chamber and power unit, all mounted on bed frame. Pressing and sintering chamber has discharge port, gate for closing the port and insulated current conductors for passing current through chips. Current conductors are made fixed and are arranged on opposite walls of pressing and sintering chamber perpendicular to direction of movement of chip pressing punch. Punch is connected to reversible drive and is installed for movement in charging chamber and pressing and sintering chamber. Wall of pressing and sintering chamber, punch and gate are lined with insulating ceramic tiles. Pulse current source is used as power unit. Gate is installed for self-alignment in discharge port.
