FIELD: wire rope manufacture, particularly, methods of impregnation of wire ropes with lubricants or some other impregnating compositions. SUBSTANCE: rope is pulled through bath with hot impregnations composition and subjected to cyclic banding at the same time. Frequency of cyclic banding is selected so as to increase rope temperature due to work of internal friction forces in rope during bending above drop temperature of impregnation composition but not above temperature of liquid impregnation composition in bath. EFFECT: provided optimized process of wire rope lubrication, quality impregnation of wire ropes with lubricant or with some other impregnation composition in coiled state. 2 cl, 1 dwg
