SQUEEZING APPARATUS FOR CABLE TWISTING MACHINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: production of steel wire cables by plastic working method. SUBSTANCE: squeezing apparatus has deforming rolls mounted on rotor of cable twisting machine and made in the form of equally spaced relation about shaft of rotor of holders, which are made in the form of cassettes. Cassettes are mounted at sides of regular polygon. Each cassette carries pair of rolls mounted for joint controllable movement along respective side of polygon. At least one cassette is mounted for regulated radial movement. Squeezing rolls may be mounted in each cassette for turning in opposite directions relative to plane extending through centers of adjacent deformation zones.
