FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of speeds and flow rates of liquids and gases. SUBSTANCE: procedure is based on measurement of rotational speed of small turbine put of shaft of electric motor and placed in flow and of electric parameters of power supply of this electric motor. Inflection point in dependence of rotational speed of turbine on electric parameters of power supply of electric motor is found and rotational speed corresponding to inflection point is used to determine speed of flow. Device for realization of procedure has small turbine, transducer of rotational speed of small turbine, electric motor connected to small turbine, sawtooth voltage generator, analog-to-digital converters, microcomputer and display. Microcomputer incorporates units computing second derivative and speed of flow by rotational speed of small turbine. EFFECT: enhanced measurement precision, expanded operational range. 3 cl, 4 dwg
