OPTICAL DEVICE WITH LOW TRANSMISSION OF VISIBLE LIGHT AND LOW REFLECTION OF VISIBLE LIGHT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2173470 C2

FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: solar controlling film with low transmission of visible light and low reflection of visible light has first and second substrates made of transparent material. Thin, inhomogeneous metal film that provides for reduced transmission o visible light and carries marks is deposited on each substrate. In process of manufacture of solar controlling film thin transparent metal coat is deposited on substrate of transparent material. Several coated substrates are integrated in multilayer film so that inhomogeneous coats face one another and are not optically coupled. Formed multilayer film has summary retaining capability for transmission of visible light approximately equal to sum of retaining capabilities of inhomogeneous metal films and its reflection of visible light is, in substance, equal to reflection of visible light by one of inhomogeneous films. Reflection of visible light by multilayer film is less than 15% if transmission of visible light amounts to 35% or under and does not exceed 12 if transmission of visible light is up to 50%. EFFECT: formation of improved films which have low transmission of visible light and low reflection of visible light. 19 cl, 8 dwg, 1 tbl
