FIELD: disposal of radioactive and toxic liquid wastes. SUBSTANCE: liquid wastes are buried deep in low-temperature geothermal system located in geotectonic magma activity areas and functioning within sour vitreous ash-and- pumice material at depth of 250-400 m. A number of shallow holes are drilled for waste disposal in zeolitized and argillized vitreous-cluster rock in vicinity of lateral geothermal water streams where there are no thermal water discharge surfaces. System includes network of radiation control stations and observation holes monitoring radiation situation and direction of geothermal water stream. Before pumping into hole wastes are turned to easily soluble state, then pumped into disposal area, and accumulated in this area to form secondary ore deposits. Materials possessing high sorbing and ion-exchange properties are used for accumulation; wastes are filtered by passing them through these materials and immobilized. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, enhanced reliability of radioactive waste disposal. 5 cl, 1 dwg
