FIELD: immobilizing liquid radioactive wastes in geological formations. SUBSTANCE: method includes pumping of radioactive wastes in drain system composed of magnesium-containing ultrabasic, basic, and acid aluminosilicate rock in injection well of geological formations of high-temperature hydrothermal system. Disposal process is controlled by means of inspection wells and radioactive uranium wastes are pumped into injection well jointly with steam- water mixture of geothermal well from reactor wherein uranium is converted into liquid state. In the process amount of uranium introduced in injection wells is varied according to inspection well data between 1.5 and 2.0 g/s while maintaining general flowrate of hydrothermal water between 90 and 100 l/s and mixture temperature, below 350 C. Device implementing this method has reactor 1, crushed uranium container 2, hydrofluoric acid supply unit 3, oxygen supply unit 4, uranyl storage 5, dosing pump 6, injection well 7, and inspection well 8. EFFECT: facilitated procedure; enhanced reliability of radioactive waste disposal. 2 cl, 1 dwg
