FIELD: medicinal polymers. SUBSTANCE: invention provides coating based on hyaluronic acid, its derivatives or other naturally occurring or semisynthetic polymers for application in surgery, health protection, and diagnostics areas. Methods allow reliably joining these polymers with surfaces of objects made from a variety of materials. Properly treated surfaces are characterized by high degree of wettability and are capable to inhibit adhesion of cells or bacteria, which are present in biological fluids. Coating procedure consists in (i) interaction of hyaluronic acid or its derivative with alkoxysilane coupling agent in aqueous medium or in organic solvent in presence of condensing or a bifunctional agent to give solution containing reaction product; (ii) plasma treatment of surface; (iii) applying solution (i) onto this surface; and (iv) removal of solution from surface after reaction product (i) is reacted with surface. EFFECT: imparted infection resistance. 34 cl, 14 dwg
