FIELD: surgery. SUBSTANCE: biomaterial, in particular hyaluronic acid benzyl ester, in which 75 to 100% of hyaluronic acid carboxyl groups are substituted. Up to 25% of carboxyl groups can be substituted via esterification by C10-C20- aliphatic alcohol, provided that at least 80% of carboxyl groups are esterified. Biomaterial is made in the form of membrane, gauze, woven or nonwoven web or gel. Optional biomaterial contains at least one hyaluronic acid derivative, which is auto-cross-linked derivative wherein 0.5 to 20% of hyaluronic acid carboxyl groups are cross-linked hydroxyl groups of the same or another hyaluronic acid molecule. Postoperative commissures are prevented by applying above-described biomaterial onto tissue involved into surgical operation. EFFECT: created commissure formation barrier until healing completion to avoid such problems as infection, calcification of implants, formation of scar, etc. 12 cl, 10 dwg, 9 tbl, 18 ex
