FIELD: production of pellets on conveyer roasting machine with pellets used as iron ore raw materials in ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation of heat carrier of preset temperature in zones of heating, roasting and recuperation by mixing of fuel combustion products supplied through burners located in side walls of hearth with heated gases from cooling zones, transferred to zones of recuperation, roasting and heating by means of overflow. Fuel combustion products are supplied toward motion of roasting carriages at an angle of 30-60 deg to vertical plane running through machine axis. EFFECT: saving of fuel due to utilization of heat in process of heat treatment of pellets from cooling zone without considerable reconstruction of existent roasting equipment. 1 dwg
