FIELD: affinage production of platinum group metals, gold and silver. SUBSTANCE: slag waste is ground in crusher or mill and powder is classified to prepare powder having particle size of minus 3; minus fraction is separated into heavy and light fractions in aqueous medium; heavy fraction is further concentrated by separating melting method. Aqueous pulp with light fraction is separated by settling or filtration, the resulting solution is used as separating medium. In order to facilitate separating water from light fraction having particle size of minus 3, glass of minus 0.2 mm is further isolated. Method makes it possible to increase recovery of noble metals.
