FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves transforming signal frequency using heterodyne frequency located between GPS and GLONASS satellite signal spectra and is selected corresponding to an expression fHGPS<fg<fHglonass, where fHGPS- is the carrying frequency of GPS NAVSTAR signals, fg-heterodyne frequency fHglonass- is the carrying frequency of the minimum liter usable in GLONASS system. Permeability bandwidth of video amplifier is common for signals of both systems. Receiver has no members belonging to on of the mentioned systems. It receives and processes the signals coming from both systems as those coming from single system. The receiver has minimum required number of functional members for processing signals from one of the systems, antenna receiving signals from navigation satellite systems, broad bandwidth filter, broad bandwidth amplifier of low noise level, mixer, heterodyne frequency synthesizer, carrying oscillator, analog-to-digital converter which output is uses as input to digital radio receiving system of the receiver. Video amplifier with limited permeability bandwidth is additionally introduced into the design. EFFECT: simplified design; no members requiring tuning; high accuracy of measurements. 3 cl, 1 dwg
