FIELD: mechanical engineering, welding of various welded structures. SUBSTANCE: joints of welded parts are simultaneously penetrated by electron beam and arc discharge located uniaxially with it. Arc discharge is formed with the aid of hollow cathode. Electron beam is directed from face side of joint through plasma of arc discharge and magnetic field of arc discharge of same direction as magnetic field of electron beam is created. Preset geometry of electron beam and penetration channel into which energy of arc discharge is fed are formed. Electron beam is deviated through thickness of parts in required direction through specified value. Thanks to such approach penetration of dagger form with small volume of poured metal is obtained. EFFECT: reduced welding deformations and stresses and expanded range of welded materials. 3 dwg
