FIELD: railway car building, particularly, heating system. SUBSTANCE: shield fastening unit has wall horizontal bracket 1, convex profile locking hinged shield 2 to which plate 3 of hinge joint 4 is connected, and support members of skeleton welded by inner side to end face of horizontal bracket. Opposite steps 6 in the form of channel are welded to upper ends of skeleton support members 5. Opposite steps 6 are connected by screw joints to the second plate of said hinge joint. Horizontal bracket has turnable support installed on axle and engaging with locking stop of shield. Lower section of skeleton support member has clamp fro locking lowered down support. Horizontal bracket is made extensible, with parts interconnected by elongated holes and screw joints. Wall part of bracket is provided with cantilever mounted over bracket wall part to carry stationary shield arranged flush with hinged shield. Stationary shield is resistance welded to cantilever.
