FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to manufacturing staple cellulose fibers involving amine oxide technique and can be applied in production of threads, fabrics, nonwoven and knitted materials. Water-containing swollen filaments are formed from solution containing cellulose material. These filaments are wringed in different points distributed along filament so that 1 mm of filament length contains in average at least two such points, after which filament is dried. Wringing is performed at a pressure high enough to make wringing points perceptible after filament is dried, e.g. being discerned by changed coloration when observed in rays of linearly polarized light. EFFECT: simplified process without use of any new equipment. 10 cl
