FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: binder is intended for use in the process of agglomeration of fine-fraction charge materials and fabrication of briquettes for smelting siliceous, manganese, and chromium alloys. Binder contains, %: water, 9-20; strengthening additive (liquid glass and/or lignosulfonate), 12-40; and dust from gas channels of aluminum production electrolyzers including, wt. %: alumina, 75-80; fluorides, 8-12; sodium oxide, 2.5-3.5; ferric oxide, 0.4-0.6; and silica, 0.2-0.3. Binder further contains up to 20% of gas-treatment dust from ferroalloy production comprising, wt.%: silica, 32-37; calcium oxide, 6-9; magnesium oxide, 5-8; alumina, 3-5; ferric oxide, 1-3; sodium oxide, 1.5-3; potassium oxide, 0.5-1.5; and carbon, 5-8.
