SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has shell at diameter not exceeding 1 m which is provided with heat-transfer supply and discharge branch pipes and partition dividing its inter- tube space into two halves, heat-exchange tube bank running inside shell and expanded in tube sheets of chambers; lower chamber is double-pass in construction; it is provided with branch pipes for supply and discharge of medium to be heated.
