MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR ELECTRICAL MACHINE COMMUTATOR UNIT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: component parts of commutator unit, plastic blank, mold centering rod, and commutator blank are placed in mold die ring, the latter is mounted between mold closing punches, and component parts are molded. Novelty is that prior to placing component parts in die ring plastic blank is mounted on centering rod and inserted in commutator blank; mold ring is installed in blind seating holes of closing punches, and centering rod is placed inside pressing member for displacement along its longitudinal axis. Used as centering rod is commutator unit shaft. Proposed process provides for manufacturing non-split commutator unit with commutator press-fitted onto shaft. In the process commutator blank is uniformly molded by plastic material directly on shaft, all component parts of commutator unit are coaxially arranged; commutator is mounted on shaft with high precision relative to shaft ends due to centering all working members of mold relative to its longitudinal axis with commutator shaft used as centering rod of mold. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture, enhanced precision of dimensions, and improved alignment of commutator parts. 2 cl, 3 dwg
