FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: method for collecting fruits from points of tall trees, for example cedar strobiles, involves transporting petards or smoke-puff charge to tree point by means of any known throwing device; exploding petards or smoke-puff charge by pulling cord. One end of cord is fixed to detonator protective casing and other end is secured to throwing device. Worker determines cord length by calculations. Fallen strobiles are collected manually by worker. Method allows cedar strobiles to be gathered without damaging fruit tree. Also, method eliminates risk for worker. EFFECT: simplified method and increased efficiency.
