FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: proposed method can be used in manufacture of cellular structures of heat radiating elements. According to this method voltage across electrodes in measured and stabilized in process of welding basing on results of measurement. Welding is done minimum by two pulses of welding current with pause sufficient for electrode cooling. Excess of welding current amplitude at beginning of following pulse as compared with end of preceding pulse at total increase of RMS value of current and stabilization of current amplitude at end of following pulse is used as criterium of formation of cast nugget.
