FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for vacuum packing of articles, such as packs of papers, biscuits, etc in plastic bags. Device has transverse seam forming mechanism made in form of pressure plate with flexible elastic lining and flat welding knife, bag space evacuation mechanism, and bag sealing mechanism made in form of cover with flexible sealing cord. Air duct of bag evacuation mechanism is made in form of movable comb-like plate with number of slots more than unity and provided with sharp flat edges. Such design makes it possible to reduced height of cross-section of air duct owing to removal of one of horizontal walls of air duct which improves quality of sealing and increases service life of sealing cord. Sharp flat edges contribute to smooth passage of sealing cord from inclined parts pf comb-like plate to base without forming side slots. Increased number of slots of air duct increases its cross-section area owing to which bag evacuation velocity is increased. EFFECT: enhanced packing of articles. 3 dwg
