METHOD FOR EVALUATING AIR-CONDUCTING FUNCTION EFFICIENCY OF TRACHEA AND BRONCHI Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining superior respiratory tract obstruction degree and changes in OO₂(StaO₂) saturation. Coefficient value describing air-conducting function disorders in trachea and bronchi is separately calculated using suggested mathematical formula by taking into account type of breathing detectable in the process of auscultation, rale, superior respiratory tract obstruction, mucous edema, bronchial secret quantity, tracheobronchial dyskinesia availability and changes in OStaO₂ saturation. The value of the calculated coefficient is interpreted in terms of normal air-conducting function disorders in trachea and bronchi or the degree of its disorder. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis both under condition of artificial and spontaneous breathing mode. 10 tbl
