FIELD: medicine, neurology. SUBSTANCE: method involves dynamic control of serum blood osmolality and blood glucose content. At values of osmolality above 298-300 mosm/kg of H2O intravenous administration of isotonic 5% glucose solution in the daily dose 400-700 ml is carried out up to decrease the osmolality value in the range 295-298 mosm/kg of H2O. Glucose solution is administrated 2 times per 24 h in equal doses with interval for 9-10 h. Serum blood osmolality value is determined in the morning, before glucose administration and in 3-5 h after its administration. Method can be used for regulation of an aqueous-electrolyte balance. EFFECT: decreased amount of diagnostic, tactic and therapeutic errors. 2 cl
