FIELD: medicine, psychotherapy, neurology. SUBSTANCE: antiepileptic preparations are twice or thrice injected daily with a gradual increase of daily doses. When side effects appear during 2-3 wk corresponding to 3-5 half-life periods of a preparation, a daily dose and intake frequency of antiepileptic preparations are kept to obtain a stable 25-50% decrease of blood free fraction concentration of a preparation. Then intake frequency has a two- fold increase, not less. At achieving stable values of blood free fraction concentration of a preparation in case of insufficient therapeutic effect a daily dose should be increased to reach a tolerance one. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy to remove undesirable side effects. 2 cl, 1 tbl
