CABLE LEAD-IN Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: lead-in includes body, nut, connecting branch pipe, sealing rings and sealing bushing. Internal surface of body is conical with inlet and outlet threaded sections on ends, first section is intended for threaded connection with nut and second section is employed for threaded connection with branch pipe and is fitted with shoulders to accommodate sealing rings. Sealing bushing is produced from polyurethane and has external conical surface to accommodate seat in body and axial hole to let cable pass through. Walls of bushing are cut along axis, line of cut has shape of sinusoid and enlarges area of contact when joined. Additional holes to let individual conductors of cable pass through are made in body of bushing along its axis. Internal walls of holes and external walls of bushing are cut sinusoidally along axis to divide bushing into two parts. One part of bushing carries pin with flange on embedded end and loop on free end. EFFECT: provision for ecological safety, simplified attendance, enhanced functional reliability. 1 cl, 4 dwg
