FIELD: peat industry; final drying of milled peat. SUBSTANCE: drying is effected in vibrating fluidized bed in three zones at simultaneous blowing by gaseous heat-transfer agent; temperature of gaseous heat-transfer agent at inlet of all zones is maintained between 500 and 700 C; rate of flow of gaseous heat-transfer agent in first zone is maintained between 6 and 7 m/s; in second zone, between 5 and 6 m/s and in third zone, between 4 and 5 m/s; drying is followed by zone-by-zone entrainment and classification of peat particles.
