FIELD: labeling. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to label rod holding device and design of cover for labels in form of roll on labeling machine capable of reliably holding the labels in form of roll or its rod. Label roll holding members are made turnable, each rod holding member being set into operation by spring. Pair of spring plates and pair of pushbuttons holding the rod are installed between side plates arranged from right and left. Each rod holding pushbutton element has rotating shaft member, rod holding member and pushbutton member arranged at opposite side of rod holding member and projecting outwards the side plates. Spring plates can set into action rod holding member of each rod holding pushbutton member in direction of its rod holding position.
