FIELD: power engineering; conductor vibration damping on overhead power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: distance piece has fork-shaped body 2 of link arms and clamps whose number depends on that of conductors, and split phase of line. Each clamp has W-shaped guide mounted between rollers 6 and posts 8 with flexible members in the form of springs 14 installed in-between. Proposed design provides for opposing movement of conductor 1 relative to wind flow at same points of aerodynamic wake in center of sub-span; in vertical plane clamps are moving over W-shaped twisting path due to enhanced vibration frequency of conductor 1.
