FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: artificial stone is used mainly for manufacturing plates for wall facing, sidewalk slabs, border stone. Method involves preparation of colored concrete mixes corresponding by color to components of simulated material; when layer of non- colored concrete mix is charged into die under vibration and second colored layer is applied to non-colored one, third, fourth, and other mix layers of various colors are intermittently charged while charging box is vibrating. After that finished product is finally extracted from mold. Device for manufacturing artificial building stone is made in the form of mold and has upper punch, die with hydraulic drive installed on vibration plate, pan mounted for displacement from die side; two charging boxes provided with hydraulic drives and arranged on tables; second box is divided into compartments for mixes of various colors by means of partitions with vibrators.
